What surrounds us every day …
School architecture is the third educator in the learning process—which is why the aesthetics and functionality of our buildings, classrooms, furniture, and grounds are very important to us. We want to feel both comfortable and inspired, fostering productive learning and socially enriching interactions.
Our school is situated on a spacious campus on the outskirts of Reichersbeuern, surrounded by greenery. Every day, students move between our six buildings:
the nearly 1,000-year-old castle, which houses the administration and management offices, banquet halls, the staff lounge, a kitchen and dining halls, the fitness room, the home economics and maintenance rooms, the art studio, two classrooms, the library with a project room, the student café, and two boarding wings for girls and boys
– the school building with classrooms and specialized labs for biology, chemistry, and physics
– the new building and the Rohde House with classrooms and a boarding area for boys
– the auditorium with the music room and the theater area
– the recreational and sports facilities: gymnasium with a climbing wall and bouldering area, as well as a hard court and beach volleyball court, and a paddock
Finally, we place great emphasis on environmentally friendly building systems and room furnishings, as well as modern media equipment: internet, Wi-Fi, iPads, and interactive projectors. Our rooms are furnished with modern furniture, locally crafted wooden pieces, and unique antique items.
