Our school community – playing a democratic part in the success of everyday life
Since 1938 our school has been privately owned by the non-profitmaking school association, the “Max-Rill-Gymnasium Schloss Reichersbeuern” e.V. The School Association Board, consisting of three members, advises the general management.
The present members of the Board are:

Other bodies which play a role in the development of the school are the School Forum, the Parents’ Council, the representatives of the body of pupils and the boarding school, the association of former pupils (the “Altbürger/Altbürgerinnen”) and Friends of the School.
The Staff
Around 60 members of staff are employed at the Max-Rill-Gymnasium Reichersbeuern Castle in the fields of the school itself, the boarding school, the administration, the kitchen, the domestic management and the facilities management, and they are there for you and your children virtually round the clock!
Carmen Mendez
Executive general management and school management

- Editor and author of teaching material
- Assistance at the Chair of School Pedagogics and School Development at the University of Jena under Prof. Peter Fauser (founder of the German School Prize)
- Member of the jury of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes
- School principal at the private grammar school Lehrinstitut Derksen in Munich and since 2013 at the Max-Rill-Gymnasium Schloss Reichersbeuern
Dr. Karin Krekel
Vice-principal
- Studied art history, classical archaeology and ancient history in Munich and London, Courtauld Institute of Art
- Worked for several years in the editing department of renowned art and non-fiction publishers
- Since 2016 at the Max-Rill-Gymnasium as a teacher for German and Latin and responsible for school development and talent promotion in humanities subjects
Monika Sader
Boarding school management
- Magister Artium in History, Political Science and Slavonic Studies at the University of Bielefeld
- Since 2009 mentor at the Max-Rill-Gymnasium
- Since 2014 responsible for student’s learning support
- Since 2018 further vocational training in social work at Caritas in Munich
Christian Danner
Upper School Coordinator
- Studied biology and chemistry at the Technical University and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich
- Teacher and Member of the school development team EFQM at the Gymnasium Kirchheim near Munich

Anna Marszalek

- Study of Social Pedagogics with the main emphasis on Social Organisation
- Head of the Women’s Refuge in Erding
- Work in the Human Resources Department of Siemens ICN in the field of management personnel
- Human Resources representative with EON AG, head of the recruiting team, development of management personnel
- Conceptual development of a caravansary in the Negev Desert, adventure camp for children and young people
